The PreVEnT project (ERASMUS+ 2023-1-RO01-KA220-VET-000151056) successfully hosted a workshop titled “Predictive Maintenance in Manufacturing: Advanced Technologies, Training and Application” at Lola Institute in Belgrade.

The event gathered VET learners and trainers, industry professionals and experts interested in predictive maintenance and advanced industrial technologies. Participants had the opportunity to explore the transition from reactive and preventive to predictive maintenance, focusing on the cost, safety, and efficiency benefits of this approach.

Agenda highlights included presentations on implementation of AI/ML, IoT/Edge, sensors and XR technologies, as well as demonstrations of the PreVEnT Toolkits for learners and trainers, developed to support practical education and VET integration. Several key project components that were presented included WP2 – Toolkit for learners, focused on the Deep tech training toolkit and case studies in predictive maintenance; WP3 – Toolkit for trainers, emphasizing teaching methodologies, learning outcomes, and integration into VET curricula; and WP4 – Teaching Factory pilot projects, which presented practical examples from manufacturing environments and insights on industry–education collaboration.

Through interactive workshops and discussions, participants exchanged experiences and gained new practical knowledge in the fields of Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and industrial innovation. The final part of the event included a Q&A panel dedicated to sharing experiences, best practices, and challenges in the implementation of advanced technologies and PdM.
