Objectives:
The critical role of PM (as an emerging work field) and the blooming prospects of its market, deems crucial the need to develop comprehensive training systems specialised on Predictive Maintenance to properly prepare the next generation of human capital that can effectively apply PMS across a wide variety of industrial/manufacturing infrastructure and equipment. The need for effective and widely used, education, training, testing, and certifying methodologies, is a key component in assuring the societal, environmental, and economic benefits that Predictive Maintenance can offer to the industrial sectors in Europe.
PreVEnT aims to help VET providers develop tailored industry-oriented trainings on PM via deep tech applications, helping thus next generation workforce to contribute to economic, environmental and social improvements while boosting their digital skills and positioning VET providers at the forefront of “deep tech” and sustainable/social technological innovation education for the labour market. This will be done by:
- Develop a market-oriented deep-tech infused PM education toolkit (ECVET compliant) that will be used to train 200+ PM learners (VET learners and employees) during the project implementation.
- Develop an innovative toolkit for VET trainers in the field of PM that would be uptaken by 100+ trainers during the project implementation.
- Develop a micro-credential certification framework for deep-tech infused PM-related micro-courses that would enable at least 200 learners (VET learners, workforce) to receive certifications, increased their employability by 30% within 1 year and reducing their skill-gap by 40% within 6-month after the certification.
PreVEnT runs from November 2023 to August 2025
Expected results:
Result 1: Deep Tech in Predictive Maintenance Toolkit for VET learners
*4 CUs in fields of artificial intelligence, augmentation & machine learning competences & skills for PM applications in manufacturing (detection & prevention techniques); Collaborative robotics & human-machine interaction for enhanced human safety and security in PM; Advanced materials and lifecycle analysis for durable, secure and circular/sustainable PM strategies (repairs/replacements); Holistic lifecycle analysis tool utilisation for testing deep-tech enabled PM solutions (in terms of environmental and social impact).
Result 2: Trainer Toolkit for VET educators
* 5 modules, focusing on inclusive DigCompEdu – digital skills, work-based learning coaching and neuroscience methods for learner empowerment.
Result 3: Work-based Learning pilots (Teaching Factories)
*Define the pedagogical methodology for hybrid Work-based learning Teaching Factories (WBLTF) where learners will be able to apply previous curriculum on applied industrial challenges under the supervision of the qualified trainers certified via result 2.
* Implement 3 hybrid pilots of 1 months each and identify learning opportunities/improvements for the learners and trainers towards boosting the impact of VET education and labour market orientation to make VET learners more employable and companies’ operations more effective.
*Institutionalise the work-based learning framework in the education providers’ and industries’ operations to become part of the mainstream operations of dual education in the involved consortium.
